What we collect.
When you apply for a role or otherwise enter our recruitment process, we collect the information you provide directly — your name, contact details, CV or resume, cover letter, work history, education, and any portfolio or work samples or links you share, such as LinkedIn or GitHub.
If you progress through the process, we also collect notes from interviews, results from any technical tests or assessments you complete, and information from reference or background checks, including the details of the references you provide.
How we use it.
We use your information to assess your application, coordinate interviews and assessments, verify your references and background where applicable, and communicate with you throughout the process. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it outside Scellus except as needed to run the recruitment process or as required by law.
Consent. By submitting an application, you consent to the terms set out here and to processing of that information in line with this policy.
Retention.
We keep candidate information for as long as necessary to run the recruitment process, to consider you for future opportunities, and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.
Disclosure.
We share candidate information with third parties only in these circumstances:
- with the hiring team and interviewers involved in your process;
- with reference contacts and background-check providers you have agreed to;
- to meet a legal obligation, such as responding to a subpoena;
- to enforce this policy or the terms of an agreement between you and Scellus;
- to protect the safety, privacy, or operations of Scellus and others;
- as part of a merger, acquisition, consolidation, or sale of part of the business.
Security.
We use reasonable organisational, technical, and administrative measures to protect candidate information. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, contact us using the details below.
Cross-border transfer.
Scellus is operated from Malaysia. Your information may be stored or processed in any country where we have facilities or use service providers to support recruitment. By applying, you consent to that transfer, including to countries with different data protection rules from your own.
Your rights & contact.
You can ask us to correct, update, or delete information you have given us as part of your application. Email privacy@scellus.com and describe what you would like changed. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may need to keep some records for legal or transactional reasons.
